Call for Submissions:
We are currently seeking submissions for our October/November issue. Deadline for submission is Friday October 9, 2009.
Submission Guidelines:
LuchaVista Magazine accepts written and visual text submissions that support the publication’s mission of engaging critical cultural dialogues in the movement toward social justice. We seek submissions that explore the complexities of the Chicana/o experience as well as that of groups similarly marginalized by mainstream society.
Submission formats may include (but are not limited to):
- Personal narratives (testimonio)
- Essays
- Academic articles
- Poetry
- Paintings
- Photography
- Illustrations
- Comics/graphic narratives
Written submissions are to be e-mailed as an attachment (MS Word document) and are to be no longer than 1,000 words. Visual submissions are also to be e-mailed as an attachment (as a PDF, JPEG, GIF or TIFF file at a minimum of 1024 pixels in width at 72 dpi.). E-mail submissions along with completed submission form to: luchacampo@yahoo.com. Contributors will be notified of their acceptance via e-mail.
